Ask, Seek, Knock: What Jesus Teaches About Persistent Prayer

What do you do when the answer has not come yet? In Luke 11, Jesus tells His disciples to ask, seek, and knock.

This is not a promise that prayer gives us everything we demand. It is an invitation to keep turning toward the Father with trust. Ask for what is good. Seek wisdom for the next faithful step. Knock with persistence when the door feels closed.

Persistent prayer and faithful action

God is not a vending machine, and prayer is not a way to control outcomes. But persistent prayer can reshape our hearts, deepen our dependence, and keep hope alive while we wait. Bring God your fear, need, questions, and gratitude—then keep walking in faith, compassion, and courage.
