Have you ever made a positive change, only to fall back into an old pattern? In Luke 11, Jesus gives a serious picture of a house that has been swept clean but left empty.
The lesson is not to live in fear. It is to stay awake, stay honest, and fill your life with what is good. Removing a harmful habit is only the beginning. We also need truth, prayer, wise community, and daily practices that make room for God.
Renewal requires daily attention
Notice what keeps returning in a new disguise: resentment, pride, distraction, or despair. Bring it into the light without shame and choose a better response. Renewal is not one dramatic moment; it is a faithful daily turning toward Christ.
Keep watch. Keep growing. Keep your heart filled with what gives life.
