What if God’s invitation is wider than you imagined? In Matthew 22, Jesus describes a wedding feast. Some invited guests refuse to come, so the invitation reaches people on the roads—everyone they can find.
The picture is not of a God trying to keep people out. It is a God who welcomes, calls, and leaves room for a real response.
Grace receives a response
Grace is freely offered, but it is not meant to leave us unchanged. To accept the invitation is to put on a new way of living: humility, mercy, integrity, and love.
You do not earn a place at the table by performing perfectly. You respond by receiving grace and letting it shape you. Today, remember that you are invited—and make room for someone else, too.
